Swati Patel - Breathing Practitioner
I qualified as a pharmacist in 1994 and have since worked in both the NHS and academia. My interest in natural health led me to study Ayurveda, the traditional Indian method of healing, for two years. More recently, I have conducted research on the effectiveness of breathwork. Over the years, I have honed my skills to assist individuals through different phases of their lives.
My Breathwork Journey
My journey with breathwork began during a stressful period of a relationship change. My parents noticed my stress and introduced me to basic breathing techniques. I was amazed at how simple yet effective these techniques were, and how they transformed my perception and attitude towards the stress I had created for myself. This experience sparked my curiosity and led me to explore the growing body of evidence supporting breathwork.
I view health and well-being as a tapestry, with each thread representing a different aspect of life. Over time, I have woven each thread with self-awareness, curiosity, gratitude, and kindness, integrating them into my daily life.
The Importance of How We Breathe
The most significant and surprising thread in my tapestry has been understanding that 'how we breathe can affect us in so many ways.' My practice focuses on enhancing energy, vitality, and calmness, offering a comprehensive path to well-being.
